John Mohan

Currently, John Mohan is founder and CEO of Rosebud PLM, Inc. a developer of a breakthrough patented software methodology for document collaboration. Rosebud PLM's first product is "Rosebud for PDF" that plugs-into Adobe Acrobat and enables Acrobat to collaborate in real-time with PDF and provides document distribution, presentation and markup as a SaaS solution.
Previously, Mr. Mohan was founder and CEO of Strategic Technology Training (STT), a provider of quality high-end public and client site seminars in Object-Oriented, Client/Server and Relational Database technologies. For over 13 years, STT provided instructors to Sun Microsystems, Accenture and a number of other SUN authorized seminar resellers.
As E.V.P. for Codd & Date, Inc., Mohan managed the East Coast consulting and client education services division. Codd & Date was the most prestigious relational database consulting firm during the 1980's. Dr. E.F. Codd was the inventor of the Relational Database Model and C.J. Date is the most published author on relational database.
As Director of MIS, Mohan designed and managed the development and deployment of New York City Fire Department's 911 emergency response dispatch system: "Starfire". Also authored a technical a paper describing the testing methodology of the 7x24 mission critical Starfire system "An Environmental Simulator for FDNY Computer Aided Dispatching System" (Real Time Software, Prentice-Hall, 1983, pp 75-90).
As a consultant to NYC Department of Finance, Mohan prepared functional specifications for a water tax enforcement computer system, WENDY, that monitored a number of tax billing and collection systems to track delinquent water taxes. WENDY was subsequently implemented by Andersen Consulting.
As consultant to Manufacturer's Hanover, Mohan designed and managed the installation of the first automated link to the New York Federal Reserve Bank for the transfer clearance and settlement of government bonds.
As consultant, Mohan designed and developed a software package, SYSPEP, for analyzing the response time performance of TWA airline reservation system utilizing queue models as opposed to simulation models.
As database project leader, Mohan designed and maintained online database for Ticketron, the first real-time computerized ticketing system for the entertainment industry, including concert, theater, art and sports events, which was subsequently absorbed by TicketMaster.
As consultant to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Goddard Space Flight Center, Mohan developed a satellite tracking program, MINVAR, for predicting the lunar trajectory of the Apollo spacecraft mission using simulated and actual tracking data that was used in conjunction with JPL's tracking program to design the lunar phase of the Apollo mission.
