Congratulations... Adobe Acrobat 3D or Acrobat Reader 7.07 should launch and display the fully interactive Product Manufacturing Information PDF.
Selecting a part from the "Bill of Material" (BOM) list below will invoke different Model Views to be visible under the "Views" list. The Views list enables the end user to select and view each Model View for a selected part. Model Views control the camera orientation, part visibility, and the associated PMI data for selected part.
"Model Views" can be selected from the Views list. Model Views change when a different part is selected from the "Bill of Material" (BOM) list. The Model Views are created in 3D CAD applications such as IDEAS, Unigraphics or CATIA v5. This particular 3D file was created in IDEAS and saved as a JT file. The JT file was imported via the Right Hemisphere PMI Module and published to PDF via the Right Hemisphere PDF Publishing Module. And that's all there is to creating a powerful, interactive 3D PDF with PMI, ready for sharing with key partners.
For the second tutorial in this series, we will show you how to publish Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) data from your 3D CAD Model into PDF using Acrobat 3D and the Right Hemisphere PMI Module and PDF Publishing Module. Please look for that next month on Planet PDF.
OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
