New digital workshops highlight key PDF-for-prepress tools

PrintImage and SCM prepress training & consulting are offering two new digital workshops -- held at locations across the U.S. during the next several months -- aimed primarily at the use of PDF and leading Acrobat-oriented products and tools in the printing and prepress industries.
The planned sessions are:
Workshop 1: "Making PDF's Work in a Production Environment"
Learn valuable tips, techniques, and shortcuts to help streamline PDF workflows. This workshop demonstrates the functionality of Adobe Acrobat, ARTS PDF Crackerjack, Enfocus Pitstop, Quite Imposing and Quite A box Of Tricks.
Who should attend: Prepress Technicians, Advanced CSRs, Production Managers.
Workshop 2: "Digital files 101: Pricing, Preflighting, Scheduling Digital Jobs"
Understanding digital files when pricing and preflighting a job is essential. When accepting files from your customer you need to understand how that file will be reproduced and how much time to budget to get it to print. Learn to ask the right questions and successfully price, preflight, and schedule digital jobs.
Who should attend: Owners, Sales Reps, CSRs, General Managers.
