QuadriSpace has launched a 3D desktop publishing packages for creating interactive PDF files that include 3D objects. Using the new application, entitled Document3D, creators do not need JavaScript programming or other intermediate translators to create interactive 3D files, and can import 3D CAD files directly into PDF documents, create exploded views, capture product information and create step-by-step instructions.

"The combination of Document3D and Adobe PDF will provide QuadriSpace customers a solid solution for sharing and collaborating on 3D content with internal teams or outside the firewall with partners or customers," said Bahman Dara, senior product marketing manager for Acrobat, Intelligent Documents Business Unit, Adobe. "Through its support for Adobe PDF, QuadriSpace is ensuring its customers will be able to view and interact with 3D content exactly as intended using Acrobat 7.0 or simply the free Adobe Reader 7.0."

Users can download a trial version, view video tutorials and interact with example documents at www.document3d.com.
