Tetra 4D LLC, a provider of 3D PDF solutions for engineering and manufacturing sector, announced the release of its 3D PDF Converter Software, its solution for importing 3D CAD drawings from CAD software into Adobe Acrobat X Pro. The new software will support critical 3D workflows for the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
3D PDF Converter allows users to convert native 3D CAD data to rich and interactive 3D PDF documents. The conversion also ensures that all data related to Product Manufacturing Information (PMI), assembly structure, metadata and views is carried forward to PDF documents. 3D PDF Converter software can be used to export precise BREP 3D CAD data to neutral file formats such as STEP, IGES, Parasolid or STL for use in other CAD, CAM, CAE and Printing applications.
3D PDF Converter software also includes 3D Reviewer, a standalone application for reviewing and advanced preparation of 3D CAD data before converting it to 3D PDF. 3D Reviewer assists users with merging CAD files, moving and deleting parts of drawings, creating animations, creating exploded assemblies, creating and managing bills of material.
3D PDF Converter supports number of CAD software including CATIA V5, Pro/E Wildfire 5.0 and Parasolid 23. Tetra 4D is currently working to add support for Siemens NX 7.5, SolidWorks 2010/2011 and other formats.
The software is available in two versions - 3D PDF Converter and 3D PDF Converter Premium. The software is available in English, German, French and Japanese language. Tetra 4D is also offering an introductory price for existing Adobe customers who upgrade to Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended before March 31, 2011.
