Adobe posts v.6.0.3 updaters for Acrobat, Reader

On the verge of the expected release of version 7.0 of its Acrobat family of products before year's end, Adobe Systems has posted update patches for the English and Japanese versions of Acrobat 6.x (Professional and Standard) and the free Adobe Reader 6.x.

The updates address several potential vulnerabilities in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader versions 6.0.0 - 6.0.2 for both Macintosh and Windows. According to Adobe, there currently are no known malicious exploits of these vulnerabilities, but the company recommends that all users of Adobe Reader 6.0 and/or Adobe Acrobat 6.0 apply the 6.0.3 updates as a proactive measure.

NOTE: The 6.0.3 updates require that the English or Japanese version of Adobe Acrobat 6.0.2 Professional or Standard is installed on your system. Users of earlier versions will first need to update to 6.0.2.
