In addition to using the Acrobat Distiller software, Acrobat can convert many file formats to PDF. In this segment you learn to use the Convert PDF From File command to convert image formatted files.
Click the Create PDF task button and choose From File from the options. The Open dialog box opens.
Certain file types can be converted to PDF documents directly from within Acrobat. In order to use the Create PDF From File command, a file has to be saved in a file format compatible with the Convert to PDF From File options.
Choose All Files (*.*) from the Files of Type (Windows) or Show (Macintosh) pull-down menu. Click cb_cover.tif. Click Open. Click the Fit Page tool.
The TIFF formatted file opens as a new PDF in the Document pane.
