Debenu releases Quick PDF Library 8.11

September 11, 2011

Planet PDF is a division of Debenu.

Debenu, the company behind both Planet PDF and leading Acrobat plug-in developer, ARTS PDF, has released version 8.11 of its stand-alone PDF Library. Quick PDF Library 8.11 boasts a number of new features and improvements, including support for PDF/A-1b-compliant output, AES-256 encryption, TrueType font subsetting, HTML5 renderer output, plain text extraction with natural reading order, PDF417 stacked linear barcodes.

"Our goal with the version 8 release was to make working with Quick PDF Library even easier than it already is. This meant that several changes were made to the SDK's public API, as well as the security engine receiving a major overhaul. We're expecting our customers to be very happy with these changes." said Karl De Abrew, Debenu CEO "Of course we wanted to do more with version 8 than just improving what we already had, so we added support for AES-256-bit encryption, PDF/A creation and much more. We just know our customers will love this new version."

Customers who have either purchased version 7 of the library since June 1, 2011, or have a Premium Upgrade Protection subscription can get the upgrade for free. A full list of the changes made for this release can be found on the Quick PDF Library update page. To find out more about Quick PDF Library generally, check out
