ARTS PDF today released the first major upgrade to Nitro PDF Desktop. The update is free-of-charge to existing users of the application, and the retail price of $99 will remain the same.

New features in Nitro PDF Professional include PDF-to-Word conversion, advanced document splitting and merging, special tools for working with legal documents, and bookmark generation for creating intelligent documents. Many of these features are drawn directly from the ARTS PDF Aerialist multi-function plug-in. Nitro PDF Professional also boasts AES encryption technology for producing the most secure PDF files.
