Software vendor ARTS PDF (ARTS PDF and Planet PDF have been since acquired by Debenu) has quietly released a Macintosh-compatible version of its powerhouse plug-in, Aerialist Professional. The tool includes all of the functionality of the established Aerialist product, but adds a watched folder processing engine, automatic keyword and index link creation along with table of contents generation capabilities, native PDF image editing and layer manipulation tools.

"What's going to excite power users in a big way is that Aerialist Professional comes based around its own watched folder processing engine -- the only one of its kind," said Sean Stewart, Senior Product Manager, ARTS PDF. "A user simply creates the sequence of tasks to perform, selects the folder for processing, and Aerialist Professional does the rest..."

ARTS PDF Aerialist Professional is now shipping for Mac and Windows, and is compatible with Acrobat versions 5 and above.
