ARTS PDF Solutions announces pair of global alliances
June 01, 2004
ARTS PDF Solutions (APS), the global services division of software developers ARTS PDF, Inc. has announced its appointment as PDFlib GmbH's preferred global integrator. In addition, ARTS PDF Solutions has formed a partnership with England's Mapsoft Computer Services Limited.
PDFlib GmbH produces highly popular and industry-leading development tools for server-centric generation and processing of PDF files. The flagship product, PDFlib, is a programming library for dynamically generating PDF output from applications or web servers. For PDFlib, APS will supply product integration and custom development services to PDFlib customers and APS clients worldwide.
"We're excited to have ARTS PDF Solutions working with PDFlib as our official integrators," said Thomas Merz, President, PDFlib GmbH. "APS has been a successful reseller of PDFlib software and this is a natural evolution for the relationship. We wanted an integrator partner with a solid history of project experience, a capable team, and global reach -- APS was the obvious choice."
ARTS PDF Solutions offers high-quality services for PDFlib products with a focus on ASP, ASP.NET, PHP and Java solutions for Windows and Linux systems.
"This appointment confirms the unique position that APS holds in the PDF industry," said Sam Chandler, Chief Executive Officer, ARTS PDF Solutions. "We are perhaps the only PDF professional services providers able to efficiently deliver integration services across multiple countries and for multiple platforms. We know how good the PDFlib product is and we're proud that Thomas and his team chose APS."
In a strategic move to position APS for increasing opportunities in the United Kingdom and extend the scope of services the company can provide, the alliance with Mapsoft allows APS to work with European clients more effectively and adds specialist publishing workflow expertise and document authoring services to an already-impressive solutions scope.
"ARTS PDF Solutions has had an enormous amount of success in North America, but increasingly we're seeing demand for PDF professional services in the UK and in western Europe," said Sam Chandler, Chief Executive Officer, ARTS PDF Solutions. "Our alliance with Mapsoft is driven by recognition of this demand and a great deal of respect for Mapsoft's expertise and experience."
APS currently offers a full suite of PDF professional services -- from procurement advice and software integration services through to ARTS PDF product extensions and sophisticated custom software solutions. Partnering with Mapsoft allows APS to also offer services in the areas of publishing workflows, high-end graphics and printing environments, and technical document authoring.
"I'm excited to be working with the APS team," said Michael Peters, Director, Mapsoft. "Mapsoft's experience and skill set fits well with the capabilities and development resources of APS. We are able to provide project management and account service to APS clients in the UK and western Europe and having the support of the APS executive and development teams, to provide new types of APS services, is amazing."
