After extending its deal with Adobe, Datalogics will now provide worldwide licensing and support for Adobe Content Server, an Adobe technology that secures EPUB and PDF content on reading devices and smartphone applications.
The software is a server solution that is designed to run on a server to host and manage EPUB and PDF eBooks intended for consumption by users with Adobe Digital Editions and/or mobile devices like dedicated eBook readers, smartphones and tablets. According to the new pact, the Chicago-based Datalogics will provide direct licensing, maintenance and customer service for the software.
"We're very pleased to add Adobe Content Server to our roster of Adobe technologies," states Greg Manuel, Vice President of Marketing at Datalogics. "Together with InDesign Server on the EPUB creation side, and Reader Mobile SDK for building eBook viewing apps, we can now offer customers a full complement of Adobe technologies across the entire e-publishing lifecycle."
As suggested by Manuel's comments, Adobe Content Server is the latest in a growing list of Adobe products now available from Datalogics. In addition to its newest addition, the range of Adobe technologies available through Datalogics include: Adobe Reader Mobile SDK, Adobe PDF Library SDK, Adobe PDF Print Engine, Adobe Normalizer, Adobe PDF Scan Library, Adobe InDesign Server and Adobe PDF JobReady.
