CVista PdfCompressor 4.0 released

Forest Hills, New York-based CVISION Technologies has announced the release of its PDF compression and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) tool. Improvements in CVista PdfCompressor 4.0 include enhanced OCR recognition accuracy, compression quality and speed.

The new version also adds support for handwriting (ICR), barcode recognition and PDF/A format for archiving. The version 4.0 is designed to generate smart, optimized, scanned documents through compression, recognition and archiving. Batch multi-threading is also supported to fully utilize multi-core CPUs and is 64-bit- and Windows Vista-compliant.
