Facebook Docs, built in collaboration between Facebook and Microsoft, now offers support for PDF files. Once uploaded, PDFs become viewable online via an Silverlight-based viewer and can be shared with friends.

"Office 2010 allows you to save your work to PDF," say the Docs team. "We think it only makes sense for Docs.com to allow you to share your PDF files with your friends to capture their feedback and comments. And, like the Office docs you can already share, we believe the social interaction that docs.com enables will enrich your PDF files."

The growing web-based document service is being updated for the second time in as many months as Microsoft seeks to tempt users away from Google Docs. Users will also appreciate the new and much needed drag-and-drop bulk upload tool. Read more at the Facebook team's Docs blog.
