FileOpen becomes Planet PDF sponsor

October 19, 2005

PDF security and digital rights management (DRM) specialist FileOpen Systems has joined Planet PDF as a sponsor of the site. The software company's products include FileOpen Publisher and FileOpen WebPublisher, which are powerful tools that allow users to encrypt PDF documents to set expiry dates and manage usage rights.

Users wanting to view the secured documents must then step through a simple installation procedure, after which they can use any documents for which they have permission using only the free Adobe Reader.

"Planet PDF is pleased to welcome FileOpen Systems as its newest sponsor," said Planet PDF Senior Account Executive Robert Milne, "FileOpen is one of the most well-established, respected 3rd-party software developers out there, and we're happy to have them on-board."

FileOpen Systems joins ARTS PDF, PDFlib, PDF Tools, Glyph & Cog, AdLib, PDF Webinars and PDF Conference as a sponsor of Planet PDF. More information on the FileOpen product range can be found at the FileOpen website.
