October 09, 2015

Foxit Corporation, the company behind the hugely popular Foxit Reader and Foxit PhantomPDF, has announced the acquisition of LuraTech Imaging GmbH and all its subsidiaries.

LuraTech’s stable of software solutions include highly scalable PDF and PDF/A solutions for server-side document conversion, as well advanced compression tools.

"Foxit's solutions enable people to create, collaborate, share, and use documents on any device," said Phil Lee, Vice President of Sales at Foxit Software. "By adding LuraTech's PDF expertise to Foxit's software platform, we will be addressing the needs of the PDF ecosystem to provide better customer experiences for PDF compression and PDF/A compliance."

Despite the acquisition LuraTech will continue to execute its existing development plans, chief among them its flagship product the PDF Compressor, and the company’s Berlin and Remscheid offices will continue to operate with the exact same team.
