Global Graphics has announced the rollout of gDoc Fusion, an eDocument builder application designed for creating, reviewing, editing, sharing and archiving PDF and XPS documents.
gDoc Fusion also offers users a easy drag and drop interface for file format converting from a wide range of formats into a single document that can be saved as a PDF, XPS or MSWord document.
Earlier this spring, Global Graphics conducted an online survey that revealed frustration with hard to use business software and lost productivity as a top concern for research respondents to the Opinion Matters/Tickbox.net online survey.
The survey revealed that almost 68% of office workers estimate they lose up to an hour every working week as a result of business software being difficult to use, with a further 25% saying they lose up to five hours every week.
"We created gDoc Fusion after extensive research into how people use office software. The over-riding message was that people want software that?s as easy to use as an iPhone, Facebook and other consumer gadgets," said Gary Fry, CEO, Global Graphics.
The gDoc Fusion application includes a free PDF/XPS and Microsoft Word reader and is targeted at SoHos, SMBs, enterprise, government and educational establishments looking for more economical licensing costs. The full version of gDoc Fusion costs US $99 for a single user license.
gDoc Fusion offers key features including: Page view -- where users can read and modify individual PDF pages with context-sensitive toolbar. Document view -- where users can extract, move, copy or delete pages between multiple open document with drag and drop functionality.
Additionally the program has a unique Finish Document Wizard which offers users a guided process to enter document summary information, password security, opening view modes before saving with optimal setting for print or web publishing.
