Gmail users can view PDF attachments in Google Chrome

February 20, 2011

Google has announced that Gmail users can now view their PDF attachments using Google Chrome's built-in viewer. The new feature will allow users to view PDF attachments online without needing to download the attachments.

The "View" link will automatically open files in the Chrome PDF viewer. Google Chrome's PDF plug-in is faster than downloading and separately opening files, and does a good job of rendering PDFs accurately.

Google also announced that this new feature will be soon roll-out to all Google Apps. This news was released at Google Apps Update Blog
