PDF Logic's latest release PDF Vista 6.0 workstation edition lets users install the program as a virtual printer and print from any Windows application for press-ready, searchable, color PDF files.

Users can print convert to PDF from other formats, define and set the paper size and specify page orientation, scaling and PDF resolution. The program also enables font embedding and subsetting images.

PDF Vista 6.0 supports graphics and image compression, 128-bit RC4 content encryption, and PDF 1.4 and PDF 1.5 standards. The program runs $99 per license and is available for purchase at the company Web site.

In other PDF news, Evinco Solutions released PhotoPDF 2.1, its batch processing tool for converting photos into PDF files. PhotoPDF 2.1 offers users two conversion options: batch conversion or photos merge.

The PDF photo utility lets users customize setting including paper size, orientation and resolution. Photo PDF supports BMP, JPEG, and GIF formats.

The solution is priced at $29.95 and available for purchase at the company Web site.
