Infommersion has recently revealed software that can integrate Flash-based presentations into Adobe PDF documents, offering enterprises a secure way to distribute business intelligence reports and dashboards.
The privately-held company -- originally formed in 2002 to develop data visualization software -- says that the new Dynamic Documents feature of its Xcelsius software will allow users to share presentations and export models into desktop formats including PDF and Microsoft Office files. The presentations will remain interactive within the PDF documents, even if opened offline.
The new feature is built around Adobe's digital rights management technology (DRM) for secure read-access to PDFs.
The new versions of Xcelsius are currently available.
