Editor's Note: Formerly CEO of Planet PDF, Karl De Abrew is now the CEO of Debenu (www.debenu.com) -- maker of the Quick PDF Library (formerly iSEDQuickPDF | QuickPDF) (www.quickpdflibrary.com), a powerful royalty-free PDF developer SDK, and Benubird Pro, the easy-to-use personal document management system.

ARTS PDF and Planet PDF are both divisions of BinaryThing

I'll be keeping Karl's corner warm for a couple of weeks while Karl heads somewhere beyond the sea (OK, Dublin) to wed his paramour. Before we get on to the fascinating minutiae of the day, congratulations are in order, methinks. All the best, big guy, and I hope the day itself is all that you've both hoped.

One thing I'm sure that we've all encountered is the awkward lull in conversation in a room with many relative strangers, as can happen at, say, weddings for instance... Between making small talk with colleagues, work contacts, family, friends, friends-of-friends and random strangers, I find that conversation starters, however cheesy, are an invaluable social tool. Consequently, in a recent bid to spice up the weekly intra-office lunch here at Planet PDF, I printed off a copy of this Web page to help get things started.

Enjoy! I'm just doing my bit for social fluency. May your future conversations be filled with fascinating trivia...

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
