Nitro PDF Software has released a significant update for Nitro PDF Professional Version 6. The key new feature in Version 6.0.1 is the integration of the PDF-to-Excel technology that was previously only available as part of PDF to Excel online service. With this feature, users can create highly-editable XLS files, allowing for the re-use of PDF tables and spreadsheets in programs such as Microsoft Excel, OpenOffice, Google Docs, and WordPerfect.
The release also boasts enhanced scan-to-PDF functionality, with the introduction of an improved TWAIN library that provides greater support for scanners with automatic document feeders, as well as multi-page and double-sided documents.
"Following the enormous success of our free online service, PDF to Excel, it was a logical next step to introduce this popular feature within our flagship product," stated Nitro PDF Software's CEO, Sam Chandler. Nitro PDF Professional 6.0.1 update is currently available for immediate download from the Nitro PDF Software website, and is free for existing customers.
