After doubling its revenues in 2008, Nitro PDF Software has announced that it is on-track to repeat the feat this year on the heels of a record-breaking first half.
The announcement follows last month's major update to the company's flagship product, Acrobat alternative Nitro PDF Professional. Other 2009 highlights for the company include the establishment of a new U.S. headquarters in San Francisco and offices in Paris, France and Berlin, Germany, along with a 50% increase in worldwide employee headcount.
"This represents an amazing time for Nitro customers, shareholders, and employees alike," said Nitro PDF Software CEO, Sam Chandler. "These milestones would be impressive in a strong economy -- in the current climate, they're outstanding. Adobe shut their offices for a week last month in an attempt to cut costs, their Acrobat business is way down, while Nitro is reporting record-breaking revenue."
Not content to rest on its laurels, however, Nitro PDF Software is in for a busy second semester. Localized versions of Nitro PDF Professional 6.0 and the company's Free Family of products -- which includes PDF creator PrimoPDF and the popular PDF to Word site -- are all scheduled for release by the end of the year.
