The PDF/A conference is only a couple weeks away, officially running from June 18-19. Organized by the PDF/A Competence Center, the event will be held at the Kosmos in Berlin, and will feature the world's experts on PDF/A.
A can't-miss pre-conference event will be on June 17, 2009, the day before the Third International Conference. The PDF/A Competence Center will be offering a workshop covering digital signatures and PDF/A.
Attendees will receive in-depth information on specifications, implementation and the meaning of digital signatures in conjunction with long-term archiving.
Leonard Rosenthol, PDF Standards Architect at Adobe Systems, will be on hand to deliver the introductory presentation before Bernd Wild, CEO of intarsys consulting GmbH speaks on standards and areas of application for digital signatures.
The hands-on session will also provide practical insights into the internal structures of signatures and certificates in PDF/A files. The workshop style format will ensure a strong focus on questions of participants and valuable information for their specific arena.
The session will end with Rosenthal wrapping up with a look at what's in store for digital signatures. The workshop is targeted at empowering software developers and IT managers. Participation in the afternoon PDF/A workshop in Berlin can also be combined with attendance at the PDF/A Conference on the 18th and 19th.
Registration and pricing information for the workshop can be found here.
