The PDF/A conference is only seven weeks away, officially running from June 18-19 in Berlin. The conference is organized by the PDF/A Competence Center at the Kosmos in Berlin, and will feature the world's experts on PDF/A.
The conference is offering several different tracks, ranging from novice to industry-specific sessions. The PDF/A Competence Center has invited several well-known companies to present a wide range of user cases from different industries as well.
The PDF/A Competence Center is also offering a resource of articles which provide detailed background knowledge and insight in terms of PDF/A usage, history, technical offerings including: PDF/A -- a look at the technical side, PDF/A for Scanned Documents, Improved PDF/A-1b, PDF/A Metadata -- XMP, RDF & Dublin Core.
Users and experts will present sessions at the conference focusing on:
archives, libraries and public administration
engineering, manufacturing and machine construction
B2C (such as banks, insurance companies, and telecommunications providers)
Healthcare sector
Leonard Rosenthol will be one of the keynote speakers at the conference, as will Bernard Zoeller, a renowned ECM consultant. The conference will conclude with a panel discussion moderated by Harald Grumser and Olaf Druemmer, both management board members of the PDF/A Competence Center.
