Nitro PDF Software has announced this week that its popular PDF extension for Mozilla Firefox has just cemented its place in the top ten Firefox extensions of all time. With more than 8 million downloads as of May, the company expects to pass the number of downloads via Mozilla.org to exceed 11 million downloads by the end of 2008.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Nitro PDF Software's announcement that Download.com downloads of PrimoPDF, its free PDF creation app, had overtaken those of Adobe Reader.
"We're ecstatic that at time at which Nitro PDF Software enjoys record sales and revenue, more than 20 million users enjoy our free PDF software for PDF creation, downloading and conversion to HTML," said Sam Chandler, CEO, Nitro PDF Software. "As well as the continued development of our flagship Nitro PDF Professional software for business and enterprise users, we look forward to offering more free tools to help more occasional PDF users."
Chandler went on to note that the pending release of PDF Download 2.0 was due "very soon." To find out more or obtain your own free copy of PDF Download, mosey on down to Mozilla.org.
