Japan-based Recosoft Corporation has announced the release of PDF2Office Professional 4.0 for Mac OS X. The release features significant upgrades for users including Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard support.
According to Paul Chadha, the product will be shipped in February 2008 and includes more than 300 new features and enhancements from the previous version.
PDF2Office Professional converts PDF documents to MSWord, PowerPoint, RT and other formats while keep the formatting and layout of the documents intact including: forming paragraphs, applying styles, regrouping graphic elements, extracting images, creating tables and headers, footers and endnotes automatically for users.
Additionally, the program enables users to recover data stored in PDF documents for user or team collaboration. Version 4.0 also offers users a new conversion capability in terms of converting PDF documents to Web Page format. The PDF to HTML conversion engine has also been optimized for boosted conversion capabilities.
Users will also find enhancements to the layout construction process augmenting paragraph formation, table recognition, columns construction and graphics processing in the latest PDF Reconstruction 4.1 engine featured in PDF2Office Professional 4.0.
PDF2Office Professional 4.0 is priced at $129 and upgrade licenses are available for $59. In addition, Recosoft offers an education license at $89.
