Ricoh Americas Corporation has announced the launch of the next generation of its Personal Paperless Document Manager (PPDMv2). The new version of the software can be used to convert scanned paper documents into electronic files and route them via custom workflows created from a desktop computer.
The software is designed to integrate seamlessly with Ricoh multifunction products (MFPs) to capture, combine, convert and share documents across a variety of formats, including PDF, paper, and Microsoft Office files. PPDMv2 can accommodate Ricoh, Savin and Lanier products.
"In today's economy, it's all about producing more at a lower cost," said Shun Sato, senior vice president, Marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation. "PPDMv2 provides every employee within an organization state-of-the-art technology that escalates productivity at all levels of the document lifecycle, not just at the multifunction product but at each desktop."
