Siteimprove Adds PDF Validation Feature

March 31, 2014

Minneapolis-based Siteimprove has just announced the integration of a new PDF scanning feature into its SaaS Web Governance Suite. The new functionality can be configured to scan through hosted and embedded PDFs for broken links and issues with accessibility.

"Our PDF checking tool introduces a major advantage for website managers looking to quality assure the content on their site," said Siteimprove Inc. CEO Torben Rytt. "A mistake inside a PDF document can be devastating to your user experience, and now Siteimprove can find them all - both on your web pages and in hosted PDF documents."

According to the press release, the new validation feature runs automatically every five days, allowing it to keep pace with additional PDFs as they are uploaded. This information is used to generate reports, which can then be used to address any issues. The new feature is currently available.
