Sony's E Ink-Based Digital Paper to See US Release

The May US release of Sony's Digital Paper has been announced by World Software Corporation, the US distributors of the PDF reading and editing devices. Digital Paper features not one but two touch screens, allowing input from stylus, finger or a combination of these.

  • 13.3-inch E Ink display
  • PDF viewing and editing
  • Touch panel (IR touch) compatible with electromagnetic induction-type touch pen input
  • Document transfer via Wi-Fi or USB
  • 4 GB of internal memory
  • Micro SD card slot
  • Lightweight (12.6 oz/357 g)
  • Battery life lasts up to 3 weeks before charging

Digital Paper has been on sale in Japan since November. At the time of its US release in May, interested parties will need to contact World Software Corporation for more information. It's suggested list price is $1,100.
