The new month is upon us, and along with the release of a new PDF conversion service on the WWW, we have some good news of our own, here at Planet PDF. This week in PDF sees Planet PDF announce the final winners of its recent promotional competition along with a brand-spanking-new major sponsor.
First up, Planet PDF has named the final five winners of its Ted Padova/Donna Baker book competition. Each winner will receive a copy of the Adobe Acrobat 7 Tips & Tricks book by Donna Baker. This ends our latest month-long promotion, but do stay tuned to Planet PDF for more competitions, coming soon. For a list of the lucky winners and their responses to the qualifying question, please see the winners page.
Also on the home front, Planet PDF is pleased to welcome its newest Gold Sponsor. ePDF.com leverages the strengths of GROUPWARE technology to provide document conversion, automation and security features to customers without requiring them to program a single line of code. To round out the week, Lithuanian company Vilnius has released a low-cost PDF conversion service. Working on a subscription model, Free PDF Converter 1.0 provides a simple interface allowing users to upload source files and either download the source files directly from the browser-based interface or have them emailed to a nominated account. The service can be found at freepdfconvert.com.
