If, like every man, woman, child and their respective canine companions, you are a fan of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, you might be pleased to note that designs drawn from the series are now available -- as PDF knitting patterns, that is!

Alison Hansel's new pattern book, "Charmed knits: Projects for Fans of Harry Potter" (Wiley) offers a plethora of such designs, and Hansel has made one of her patterns available for download in PDF format, creating a knit-along to go with it. On her own blog, Hansel has even posted a pattern for one of the infamous Weasley sweaters!

Even more Potter-related patterns can be found via Catherine Hollingsworth's article on the Anchorage Daily News website.
