Zevrix Solutions has released Checkpoint 1.2, updating its PDF preflight and conversion software.
The preflight solution checks fonts, colors, images and metadata of multiple PDF files and users can also identify PDF problems with user-defined preflight profiles. Users can also check image resolution, color model, PDF/X compliance using the profiles.
The app exports PDFs as images, and splits and reduces the size of PDF files. The program also offers drop and drag batch processing.
The latest version gives users the ability to preserve transparency when exporting PDFs to either TIFF or PMG format. The program is priced at $70 and requires Mac OS X 10.4.2 and is Snow Leopard-compatible. It comes bundled with Graphic Inspector.
