Zevrix Solutions has announced updates for two automation solutions for Mac OS X users. BatchOutput DOC 2.1 and BatchOutput XLS 2.0 are designed to automate printing and PDF output from Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, respectively.

BatchOutput DOC 2.1 is a compatibility update that adds support for Microsoft Word 2011 and addresses several issues with stability and performance. Like its predecessor, the latest version of BatchOutput DOC allows users to dynamically split multi-page Word documents into single-page PDF files, apply PDF security, or apply Quartz filters.

The more significant of the two releases, BatchOutput XLS 2.0 is a major update that adds compatibility with Microsoft Excel 2011, and allows users to either print or convert batches of Excel files into PDF archives. The software can also be used to optimize the resulting PDFs for high-quality printing or on-screen viewing, apply PDF security, or apply Quartz filters in order to manipulate color, tone or brightness in output PDF documents.
