As with the improved features for easy PDF creation, the additions for review and commenting may well be the tweaks that were needed to take this technology from being something which was interesting, to being something which is useful to a lot of people on a daily basis. In fact, not only useful, but perhaps a core part of day-to-day business activity.

‘Roundtrip’ comments back into source Word file

Exclusive to Windows XP is round tripping your comments, allowing you to export your comments from Acrobat back into Word. To do it the PDF must be tagged (have structure added) when it is converted to PDF. Once it is imported back into Word the user can choose to approve changes.

Review Tracker

The new Review Tracker pane has been created for users to keep track with the PDF documents a user has passed on to others for review via email and Web browsers. Users can see at a glance who the documents have been sent to and what the status is for each.
