AdLib eDocument Solutions has announced updated releases -- representing new levels of performance and reliability -- of its popular AdLib eXpress and AdLib OCR products, which provide a rich set of capabilities that enable customers to efficiently and cost-effectively deploy document-to-PDF conversion across the enterprise.
"AdLib eXpress 2.7 offers clients a new level of performance and reliability for their mission critical applications," says Jean Ouellette, VP of Application Development. "Our customers demand 24/7 reliability -- eXpress delivers."
New capabilities of eXpress 2.7 include an advanced Fault Monitoring and Recovery component, ensuring reliable document processing even if corrupt files are encountered. The list of supported native applications that can be used to convert to PDF has also been expanded to include support for Microsoft Office 2003 and several new engineering drawing applications.
The performance and error handling of the optional AdLib OCR (Optical Character Recognition) add-on for eXpress has also been improved in version 1.8, enabling customers to easily transform image files -- including faxes and scanned documents -- into searchable PDF or Text output, increasing their value to an organization.
