ARTS PDF (http://www.debenu.com/arts-pdf) has announced the release of ARTS PDF Tools 2.0, its cross-platform, Adobe (R) Acrobat (R) plug-in that enables users to develop macros, tools and toolbars, and to roll them out across a team of Acrobat users.

"Developers can make powerful macro tools with JavaScript, and power users can quickly simplify the Acrobat user interface by displaying only their preferred menu items and tools," said Gary Armstrong, VP of Sales, ARTS PDF. "And the best part is that users can share all their tools and toolbars across workgroups" ARTS PDF Tools 2.0 adds the ability to copy toolbar buttons from any of Acrobat's own toolbars, as well as the ability to make multiple custom toolbars. Making a new tool is as easy as selecting the tool shortcut or command, or inserting JavaScript code, and then assigning a new toolbar button to it.

"The real power of ARTS PDF Tools emerges when used by a team of Adobe Acrobat users and our multi-user licensing - starting from $299 for a five-user license -- has been updated to encourage group usage," said Armstrong. "Having a developer design a series of JavaScript-based macros and then roll them out across a workgroup means a team's productivity can be rapidly improved without the need for custom designed plug-ins and add-ons."

The latest release of ARTS PDF Tools further extends the ARTS PDF Publish Suite, making it even easier to use Acrobat and the range of ARTS PDF-related professional publishing tools. ARTS PDF Publish Suite -- which includes ARTS Split & Merge Plus, ARTS PDF Bookmarker, ARTS PDF Stamper, ARTS PDF Tools, ARTS Link Tool and ARTS Link Checker -- gives professional users the tools to assemble new PDF documents, add last minute text, numbering and graphics, correct, edit and add navigational elements like bookmarks and links.
