GROUPWARE has announced the newest release of its ePDF server software. Version 3.8.5 adds what the developers call a "stackable" engine deployment feature, increasing the solution's potential processing capacity to 500,000 documents per day. In addition, native 64-bit operating system support is due to be added with the release of version 3.9 late in Q2 of this year.
The software allows organizations to adhere to legal document requirements and compliance regulations via in-line processing of enterprise document workloads, whether this includes rendering, security or archival. The software supports various phases of a business's workflow, from messaging to document management, content management and customized PDM (product data management).
The engine also allows users to convert existing PDF documents into the PDF/A format for long-term archival or validate them against this standard.
