Apple CEO Steve Jobs has announced that iBooks will soon offer native PDF support. According to Jobs' keynote address at WWDC, on June 7, PDFs look "just gorgeous" when viewed in the updated app.

Jobs said that PDF viewing was the most requested feature from iBooks users. PDFs will have their own separate bookshelf in iBooks, which can be used on both the iPhone and iPad.

The update comes at the same time as a PDF-friendly update to iTunes and will be available later this month.
