For anyone in urgent need of a quick greeting card -- for the upcoming Easter holiday, for example -- the Xerox Color Connection Web site offers salvation in the form of free, designed-for-printing cards available as PDFs.

For Easter, the site offers a selection of four different illustrations, available in several sizes and styles. You provide the free Adobe Reader and printer, the latter preferably one from Xerox.

Holidays -- traditional or those championed by greeting card companies -- have a way of sneaking up. The site includes an archive for numerous other festivities and occasions, with relevant freebies for each. Some may even be for events many folks don't even realize they should be celebrating or recognizing. If you've somehow forgotten that April 21 is "Administrative Professionals Day," (at least according to Xerox) you'll be thankful that the Color Connection site has you covered -- offering a selection of customizable employee appreciation cards ready for the Reader-savvy.

If they save your bacon on that one, you might also want to download one of several 'Thank You' cards to send to the Xerox folks.
