when submitting a large form, when using the FDF output format with Adobe Reader 6.0, I regularly get FDFBadFDFException error messages when trying to parse the received FDF, using the Adobe Forms SDK for Java.

The error occur when calling

FDFDoc fdfInput = new FDFDoc(data);

Another interesting point: I see line breaks in the FDF that is sent ot the server, and the error does not occur with some Http Servers.

Example problem configuration:

Jetty web server, windows XP or NT, HTTP or HTTPS.

Example of configuration that works:

Apache web server, forwarding calls to jetty web server, linux, HTTP.

To solve the problem, I can switch to XFDF. However, it has got bad side effects, as explained in another post:
