Topic: Opening new doc does not come to front.

When I have the Open cross-document links in same window
check box unchecked in the General preferences dialog and I
open another document with the click of a button, the new
document opens up but does not come the front. Well actually I
see it open up momentarily then it goes behind the other
document that is already open. This behavior never exhibited
itself in Acrobat 5.0.
I would like to figure out how to get a new document to open up in
front and stay there.
