Topic: Passing parameters through URL

I was looking through some Adobe documentation, and it mentioned the fact that it was possible to pass parameters through a URL to a .pdf, e.g. http://www.mysite.com/mypdf.pdf?page=3 . Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for me. If I use the example above in my web browser, the link to the .pdf works, but it won't jump to page three as I hoped.
Am I doing something wrong? Or just holding my mouth the wrong way?
