Topic: Deleting multiple text fields using JavaScript

Hello:

I am running Acrobat 6.0 Pro and I need help deleting multiple text fields based on the field value (or lack of a value).

Here are the details of my project:

I have a single page form with approximately 20 text fields. Based on the size of the project the user may spawn 10 form pages. After the 10 forms are filled in I need to consolidate certain fields into a single page report. I am currently doing this by naming my single page report fields the same as the fields that have been spawned from the original signal page form.

The problem is that more often then not I need to remove certain spawned pages which cause gaps in my single page report when I import the FDF data.

My current solution is to create a button that will delete the empty text fields which will let me realign the fields so that there are no gaps in my report. I am sure there is an easier way and I open to any ideas that may work better.

Thank You
Bill

Why eBooks and mobile devices don't (yet) pose an existential threat to the PDF

Continuous upheaval is what makes watching the technology industry so exciting. David vs. Goliath battles are waged every day, with startups often winning against much larger businesses. For years and years, many have predicted the decline of the PDF given its age and perceived disadvantages. Today, with the PDF losing ground in emerging areas like mobile and eBooks, the calls for its ultimate demise are growing louder.
