You can get a PDF viewer plug-in that works with browsers like Safari and OmniWeb at:

http://www.schubert-it.com/pluginpdf/

Remember that Ctrl-click will pop up a menu that then lets you save the PDF.

As an extra, this plug-in lets you preview PostScript as well.
