Topic: submitting and receiving fdf from perl - how to debug?
Conf: (P-PDF) Beginners, Msg: 104215

I have set up a pdf with a submit button to a url which responds with some fdf data.

I get an error in acrobat reader that the file could not be found or is not a supported file type.

How do I get the data back into the form from which I have just submitted?

Am I missing some sort of 'import data' function?

the url of the (simple) perl script is at:
www.atl.uk.com/cgi-local/aapdftest3b.pl#FDF
and is listed below too.

the url of the pdf is:
www.atl.uk.com/aaapdf/002urltalk.pdf

any clues as to how I would debug such a situation in the future would be most gratefully received too.

Thank you

The (working) perl script is as follows:

#! /usr/bin/perl
use CGI qw(:standard);
my $q = new CGI;
print $q->header("application/vnd.fdf");
print << 'RESPONSESTREAM';
%fDF-1.2
1 0 obj
<< /FDF
<< /fields
[
<< /T (status)
/V (Hello World!) >>
] >>
>>
endobj
trailer
<<
/Root 1 0 R
>>
&&EOF
