Topic: Still can't get my distiller working

I thought I had it when my viruses were eliminated, but Norton Internet Security turned out to be way too much trouble to install on my system. I'll try to be specific.

Every once in a while (like once a week) I can print a document in PDF by entering the parameters for my virtual Adobe PDF printer in the WP11 Print command for a 6 X 9 document, then clicking Publish to PDF. When it goes right, I get a text box with a slide bar showing % of completion. When it goes wrong, I am asked to name the file and destination, the slide bar stops and my system crashes. At such a time, if I press Crtl-Alt-Del it tells me that my print server 110 is not responding.

I have also tried to print via distiller by selecting file, picking my WP11 document, identifying the compatibility so that it is 6 X 9 and clicking OK. This always fails giving the same printerserver error message, but does not crash my system.

I am of the opinion that one or more of my distiller preferences must awry, but no idea which. I had one chance to observe a log file and it indicated an "unknown" error, but associated it with "WPCMD" which must be WP11.

Please assist if you can. When I tried the Apple Laser idea you guys suggested, my system crashed and printed out 10 pages of errors that made no sense at all.
