Topic: Question about PDImage!!!

when we create a PDImage object in PDF,we use an PDEImageAttrs object( in the SDK sample ) as such:

pdeImageAttrs.flags = kPDEImageExternal;
pdeImageAttrs.width = IMG_WIDTH;
pdeImageAttrs.height = IMG_HEIGHT;
pdeImageAttrs.bitsPerComponent = 8;

I have two Questions:
(1) Is width and height's unit in Pixel?
(2) If (1) true,I have now two .jpg files,their parameters is listed below:
1.jpg 2.jpg
resolution 600*600 dpi 300*300 dpi
dots per meter 23622*23622 11811*11811
size 1368*1224 pixel 472*500 pixel
5.79*5.18 cm 4.00*4.23cm
2.28*2.04 inch 1.57*1.67inch

because the size of 1.jpg and 2.jpg in cm/inch is close,
I wish they seem to be same also in PDF(in fact they seem
same in Word or in acrobat using adobe's menu).

How could I achieve my goal?
Any suggestions appreciated,thanks
