I'm on a iMac (0S 9.2) with Acrobat 5, and generate a PDF via .ps + Distiller, and Export. (See enclosured PDF)
In both cases the background .gif (4color)
is colorless in the PDF.
Earlier generations of the same PageMaker 7.0 file came up with no 'color problem.'
