Topic: Issue with PDETextReplaceChars()

Hi All,
Looking for some feedback about using the PDFEdit function PDETextReplaceChars. I am trying to change a word (whole text run) with another correctly spelt word :) of the same length. When I find the word and use PDETextReplaceChars the new text does not occupy the same path width (start and end characters overprint). I have tried using the character method and textrun method, both produce the same bizarre result.

I hope I am doing something wrong. Using MS.VC++6, Acrobat5 headers and viewing in Acrobat6.

commands used are:
ASUns8 newText[] = "ABCDEFGHIJKL";

PDETextReplaceChars (text, kPDETextChar, char_offset, newText, (ASInt32) 12);

PDETextReplaceChars (text, kPDETextRun, currentRun, newText, (ASInt32) 12);

All help gratefully appreciated. If you prefer you can email me

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
